Summary
Disc 1. Ze'eva Cohen discusses growing up in Israel; her dance influences including Gerturd Kraus, Rena Gluck, Martha Graham, and Anna Sokolow; moving to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, where she studied with Anna Sokolow, Louie Horst, and José Limón; touring the U.S., Canada, Europe and Israel, with her one woman show under the auspice of the National Endowment for the Arts Residency Touring Program; being a founding member of Dance Theater Workshop; dancing in the Judson Church Group performances; choreographing works on Boston Ballet, Munich Tanzproject, Batsheva Dance Company, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; working as a dance professor at Princeton University and the changes she facilitated within the dance program. Disc 2. Cohen discussing her work, Meditation on a square, for the Bodiography Contemporary Ballet of Pittsburgh and other recent works possibly including Negotiations and Female mythologies.
