Panelists discuss their personal experiences with dance at Juilliard; the development of the Dance Division under the direction of Muriel Topaz, Benjamin Harkarvy, and Lawrence Rhodes; the transition between Martha Hill and Muriel Topaz; changes to the dance curriculum; Harkarvy coming to Juilliard as a ballet teacher and the changes he made during his transition to becoming director after Topaz; how students technical levels changed over the years; why Harkarvy choose specific choreographers for the dance concerts; the Senior Production becoming more formalized by Harkarvy; Rhodes becoming director after Harkarvy's death; Rhodes changing the dance schedule by adding anatomy and acting classes; changing performances to make it possible that every student performs; and concluding with a Question & Answer session.
