- Note
- The Process (North American Edition) is a different publication than Process, the numbered serial published in London in the late 1960s.
- Founder and teacher of the Process Church: Robert de Grimston. Robert De Grimston Moor, a former Scientologist, was a co-founder of The Process Church of the Final Judgment with his wife, Mary Anne MacLean, also a former Scientologist. Process Church doctrine states that God is composed of four parts--Jehovah, Christ, Lucifer, and Satan--each of whom must be worshiped in succession in order for the worshiper to attain enlightenment. After the divorce of De Grimston and MacLean in 1974, a small group of members followed MacLean, who established the Foundation Church of the Millennium, which later became Best Friends Animal Society.
- "On Love" issue contains "Interviews," i.e., responses by actors, comedians, blues, rock, jazz, and country musicians, and others to the questions "What is love?" and "What do you love the most?" The 33 respondents ("old friends and some new") include Muhammad Ali, comedian/filmmaker Woody Allen, science fiction writer Poul Anderson, astronaut Neil Armstrong, singers Sonny and Cher Bono, comedian Red Buttons, country singer Johnny Cash, comedian Rodney Dangerfield, actor Ben Gazarra, blues guitarist Buddy Guy, Yippie revolutionary Abbie Hoffman, rock guitarist Alvin Lee, television host Art Linkletter, blues musicians Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, and actor Peter Ustinov. Contents also include: lead article by Robert De Grimston on "Sexual Love," with full page photographic portrait facing first page of text; "The Process at Work," with numerous photos of Process disciples and other Processeans helping "children learn and grow" and dispensing free food; an adaptation of the Goldilocks tale; an account of an East Coast road trip by the P-Car (Process-Car); how to become a Field Disciple for The Process; an explication of the identity and function of Gods and of the Jehovah-Lucifer dichotomy; a "God-Pattern Quiz," designed to ascertain "who has the dominant influence over you...Jehovah, Lucifer, Satan or Christ?"; "Gods and Goddesses of Love"; telepathy; "A Day in the Life of a Processean," a photo-illustrated diary of Sister Olivia; numerous letters; and a group photograph of the editorial staff.
