- Blood Brothers was first performed at The Liverpool Playhouse on Jan. 8, 1983. It transfered to London for a run of only a few months.
- Bill Kenwright later produced a British national tour and then opened in London July 28, 1988, at the Albery Theatre, transferring in 1991 to the Phonix Theatre, where it is still running in 2012.
- Opened at the Music Box Theatre, New York , N.Y., April 25, 1993, and closed April 30, 1995, after 840 performances.
