• First authorized edition published by Cramer, Geneva, 1773; see Davies, 73G. This is one of several unauthorized 1773 editions with the Valade imprint.
• "L'adresse de Genève est fausse: publié à Paris par Jacques-François Valade, d'après la permission tacite accordée à celui-ci le 24 décembre 1772"--BN/BnF.
• Signatures: pi1 A-H⁴ chi1(=pi2). Leaf chi1v blank.
• Leaf chi1 belongs at end, as indicated by the catchword "Note" on leaf H4v, but is sometimes found following pi1 (title page), with which it is conjugate. Contains "Note" and a list of 7 "Fautes à corriger." Known also in a state with the note but without the errata (see BN, no. 990 (copy 8- YTH- 10286).
• BN gives collation as "65 p.," but the corresponding BnF record has collation revised to read "[2]-64-[1] p." Davies, citing BN no. 988 (copy 8- YTH- 20271), gives collation as "pag. 65."
• In some copies, leaves B3, C1, C2, D1, D4 and F4 are cancels; see BN, no. 989-992. In BN no. 989 and 992, B1 is also a cancel, with added last line on page 11: "Arrêtez."
• Woodcut title page vignette; woodcut headpiece, signed Veche(?); woodcut and type flower tailpieces.
• NYPL copy: [4], 64 pages; signatures: pi² A-H⁴; leaf containing "Note" and errata follows title page; errata are uncorrected; leaves B3, C1, C2, D1, D4 and F4 are cancels, signed with asterisks. On title page, "A Geneve, et se trouve" are in italic type (Davies transcribes in roman). Size of title page vignette is 35 x 33 mm; it depicts a basket of flowers above a symmetrical foliage design.
