Program devoted to the American musical shows of Kurt Weill, specifically, The eternal road, Knickerbocker holiday, Lady in the dark, Street scene, and Lost in the stars. Two of Weill's shows from his years in Germany, The threepenny opera and Mahagonny, revived in America after his death, are also discussed. The program includes interviews with colleagues of Weill's, and performances of several songs from these shows.
