Summary
In the first half of the program (2:00-3:00 P. M.), host Steve Sullivan talks with three core members of the jazz ensemble Orquesta Nova (Carlos Franzetti, composer and pianist, Juliet Haffner, violist and Gary Schocker, flutist) about their upcoming concert at Carnegie Hall (6/21/1993) and their latest recording (1993's "Salon New York"). Some of their works are played live in the WNYC studio. In the second half of the program (3:00-4:00 P.M.), host Steve Sullivan talks with some members of Bach Aria Group about their "International Bach" festival, the current incarnation of their group and their upcoming gigs. They play live in WNYC's Studio B.
