- Depiction of a woman in a hieratic pose, echoing the form of the letter I. Her headdress, jewelry, and close-fitting robe suggest Byzantine influence.

- Ruth St. Denis, a founder of American modern dance, frequently portrayed priestesses and goddesses in her choreographic works. This design may relate to an actual work, perhaps one of those whose title begins with the letter I, such as "Ishtar of the seven gates."
