Summary
Charles Wuorinen (composer) discusses working with the poetry of James Tate, how he connected and learned about Tate's poetry, how he responded to Tate's poetry when creating this work and details about the poetry. Ken Rus Schmoll talks about Wuorinen's music being the primary inspiration for directing this piece, and how this work is both timeless and placeless. Concludes with brief talk about future projects including Wuorinen's Brokeback mountain opera in Madrid and Schmoll's next directing project, a play entitled, Death tax.
