Summary
Discusses the Black experience in the military, focuses on the training and participation of Black airmen in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, such as the Tuskogee Airmen of the 99th Fighter Squadron. Also discusses the social climate of prejudice facing the airmen at home and abroad and their success in their struggles against this intolerance.
