- The American Tract Society was first located at 150 Nassau St., New York, in 1832. A new typeface was introduced in 1848 and the layout of this imprint complies with the new typeface (c.f. Dating American Tract Society Publications Through 1876 from External Evidences: A Series of Tables, by S.J. Wolfe, cataloger, American Antiquarian Society). The advertisement on the lower wrapper gives the address for the American Tract Society (Boston, Mass.) at 28 Cornhill, where it was located from 1842 to 1868.
