Summary

In 2010, the Mission Secretariat "Amazonian Selves" in Madrid (Spain) and the Cultural Cantro "Jose Pio Aza" in Lima (Peru), organized in various communities of the Peruvian Amazon, an illustrated Short Story Competition, involving almost one hundred secondary school students, aged between 12 and 18 years. The winning stories and drawings are offered in this publication, the purpose of which is to inform the world of the jungle from the tales, stories and drawings of their own cultures, while promoting solidarity through various educational projects Dominican missionaries make in their communities. The forest accommodates its life so that the world has the jungle, sharing the aspirations and dreams of a more just, healthy and humane for all children and young people worldwide.
