- Although Rosenthal wrote the music in 1956, no record of a production was found before 1965, when it was presented at Hollins College, Roanoke, Va., with a part-professional, part-student cast. Later produced by the New York Art Theater, 116 East 14th Street, New York, N.Y., where it was reviewed by Mel Gussow in The New York Times, Feb. 14, 1982.
