- Recording of class taught by Ted Shawn at Jacob's Pillow, in Lee, Mass., around 1952. The recording consists primarily of Shawn's directions and explanations to the class, including with respect to his Osage-Pawnee dance of greeting, the principle of falls, the two-step, the polka, and the principle of movement succession. The piano and percussive accompaniment can also be heard. The section beginning at ca. 2:30 into track 12 to the end of the recording, which concerns movement succession, may be from a different class.
- Sound quality is good to fair. There is significant ambient noise as well as occasional short gaps.
