Summary
In the first half of the program, host Steve Sullivan talks with the artistic director of the Charlie Parker Music & More Awards, Israela Margalit, and with some of the winners of the 1993 competition (Aaron Flagg, trumpet ; Antar Jones, piano ; Lori Brown Mirabal, mezzo-soprano ; Armando Mora, baritone), who perform live in the WNYC performance studio. In the second half of the program, host Steve Sullivan talks with award-winning Taiwanese/Belgian pianist Noel Lin about her education, performance history, life in New York, and her upcoming concert at Merkin Concert Hall. Lin performs live in the WNYC performance studio.
