- The sound quality of track 1 is good. There is some distortion but Klarna Pinska's voice is clear. The sound quality on track 2 is fair until ca. 5:35 into the track; Pinska's voice is soft at times but always easily intelligible. The voice of the unidentified speaker, possibly Ruth St. Denis, in the final ca. 2 min. of track 2 is also soft but easily intelligible.
- The first half of the recording (tracks 1; ca. 8 min.) is a recording made by Klarna Pinska in which she describes her activities of the previous day, Oct. 15, 1975, from the time she wakes up until she retires for the night. A substantial portion of the second half of the recording (track 2 from the beginning to ca. 5:35 min.) is also a recording made by Klarna Pinska on Feb. 2, 1966 in which she speaks about seeing Gordon Parks on television and the idea it gave her for a ballet for her students at Juvenile Hall [part of a community program in which she is participating]; she then speaks about the process of recording herself and what she could do to improve it; the last ca. 2 min. of track 2 is an unidentified female speaking about the biblical King David. The date and circumstances of this part of the recording are not identified but the speaker sounds like Ruth St. Denis.
