- This image is based on a undated photograph by Maurice Seymour. The neckline of Page's costume has been altered, as well as her hairstyle, with white flowers added at her ears.
- Love song (choreography, Ruth Page; music, Franz Schubert; scenery and costumes, Nicolas Remisoff) was first performed by the Chicago Opera Ballet in 1935, and revived by the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo in 1948. Although this painting is dated 1949, the photograph was probably taken around 1935, since the roles first danced by Page and Stone were assumed by Ruthanna Boris and Leon Danielian or Roman Jasinsky in the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo revival.
