  • The clowns (choreography, Gerald Arpino; music, Hershy Kay; costumes, Edith Lutyens Bel Geddes) was first performed by City Center Joffrey Ballet in 1968. The doves, choreographed by Vladimir Varkovitsky and Stanislav Vlasov, was performed in the United States by the Bolshoi Ballet in 1966.
