- The ballet Sebastian (choreography, John Butler; music, Gian-Carlo Menotti) was first performed in Holland in 1963 by Nederlands Dans Theater. Jacques Noël's designs were created for the Harkness Ballet's production, which was probably first performed in Europe in 1966. Presented as part of the Festival du Marais at the Hotel de Rohan, Paris, on June 8, 1966, it was not seen in New York City until November 1967.
