- American dancer and choreographer Eugene Loring, 1911-1982, is probably best known for his ballet Billy the Kid (music, Aaron Copland), first performed in 1938. Kin Platt, 1911-2003, a writer and artist, created theatrical caricatures, comic strips and books, scripts for radio and television, and mysteries for adults and children.
