- Two drawings inspired by dance works. One, labeled Doris Humphrey's Deep rhythm, portrays four female dancers in long dresses, standing with hands folded. The second, bearing the dual titles Two dancers and Illuminations, George Balanchine (choreographer), is more impressionistic, and portrays a pair of dancers in similar positions.

- Deep rhythm was the original title of Doris Humphrey's Ritmo jondo (music, Carlos Surinach; scenery, Jean Rosenthal; costumes, Pauline Lawrence), first performed in 1953 by José Limón and Company. The ballet Illuminations, choreographed by Frederick Ashton rather than George Balanchine, was first performed by Balanchine's New York City Ballet in 1950, with music by Benjamin Britten and scenery and costumes by Cecil Beaton.
