The collection has been arranged in five groups: George Cruikshank's The dancing lesson series; sheet music covers; wood engravings from illustrated periodicals; photogravure reproductions of paintings; and miscellaneous prints, subdivided into the categories social dancing, theatrical dancing, and comic art.
