Summary
John Stands-in-Timber relates the tale of the prophet who appeared before the Cheyenne in pre-European times. He left behind the Sacred Bundle of four arrows and the four commandments which are the basis of Cheyenne religion and ethics. An interpretation of General George Custer's morality and another version of his death.
