Summary
"This is the story of the life and times of Joseph Murumbi, Kenya's first foreign minister. In September 1966, hardly six months after President Jomo Kenyatta appointed him Kenya's second Vice President, Joseph Murumbi resigned following the assassination of his close friend socialist strategist, Pio Gama Pinto. He would devote the rest of his life collecting works of African art. By the time he died in 1990, Murumbi had put together the largest private collection of African art, crafts and books in the world."
