- Summary
- Bryant, a bass in the vocal group The Five Scalders, formed in Detroit, names other members of the group and discusses their individual characteristics. He shares his memories of the group that started in the style of a cappella, their rehearsals and the process of arranging melodies, and explains the circumstances that prevented them from performing after their service in the army. He remembers the brotherly bond among musicians of different groups and speaks highly about the baritone and songwriter of his musical group, Sir Mack Rice.
