- Summary
- Rudolph, a member of the musical group "Three Bits of Rhythm" that performed in the 1930s in Chicago, speaks about the beginning of his career with the group, recording for Decca, incorporating a lot of comedy in their performances, working also in New York City in live shows, explains the reason for their relocation to the West Coast, recounts groups and individual musicians that were his contemporaries, and discusses their particular styles. He recalls the clubs they played at, his former colleagues and associates, and both he and Whitesell, trace the lives of those musicians, many of whom found various occupations that did not involve music and fell into oblivion.
