"In the spring of 1944, Captain Vincent made arrangements with the Coca-Cola Company to have one of its "Victory Parade of Spotlight Bands" shows done at Carnegie Hall, New York, as a special V-disc program. On this Blue network broadcast (Coke night no. 493...the series started on September 21, 1942) the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and guest vocalists Morton Downey and Georgia Gibbs (Fredda Gibson) were featured. The entire program was recorded by the V-disc group"--Sears (p. 221)
"Paramount on parade" (1st work) contains the Paramount newsreel film theme: "The eyes and ears of the world", Arranged by Sy Oliver--Sears (p. 223)
"And so little time" (2nd work) was later issued on the LP "One night stand with Tommy Dorsey" (Joyce LP-1022).
