- Bancroft, a film, TV and theater actress associated with the Method Acting school, speaks about the encouragement from her mother to act; her experience in Hollywood and TV before acting in the theater; reasons that made her come back to New York and take up the theater; her director Arthur Penn; getting the part of Gittel Mosca in "Two for the seesaw" and preparing for this role; her role Anne Sullivan in "The miracle worker;" Stanislavsky's Method and Lee Strasberg in connection with discussing Method School; difference between acting in film and on the stage; her way of preparing for a scene; acting in classics such as Moliere and Shakespeare; taking voice lessons; her lifestyle free of scandals; sincerity on the stage, and more. Throughout the interview, Bancroft's dependency on consulting psychoanalysts is revealed.
