  • First authorized edition published by Cramer, Geneva, 1773; see Davies, 73G. The present text is based on one of several unauthorized 1773 editions published by Valade in Paris (Davies, 73GP2).
  • False imprint? Resembles in layout, typography and ornaments a series of pirated editions of plays issued by Jacques Garrigan, printer and bookseller in Avignon.
  • A variant printing? Transcription of title page in Davies, 73P, differs in a number of details, including: Astérie; edition; libraire et imprimeur; also, all letters in the present copy through "A Paris" are upper-case or small capitals, and "Les loix de Minos" and "Asterie" are in decorative type, which is not reflected in Davies' transcription; Davies omits mention of decorated thick-thin rules above and below edition statement and calls decorated thick-thin rule preceding date simply "rule."
  • Davies cites copy in BnF classed in 8⁰ Yth. 20273, but BN/BnF catalog does not record the erroneous duplication of the initial article.
  • Signatures: A-E⁴ F².
