Summary
Proeung Pruon speaks about how he learned to play music as a child; what instruments he can play; his studies at the Lycee Sisowath. He relates a story about meeting the Queen (Kossomak) and playing for her. He describes his experiences under the Khmer Rouge, and how he survived. He describes the ceremony of paying respects to the full moon, and what music is used; the make-up of orchestras; the king and queen's musical tastes and talents. Finally, he speaks about the preservation of music and how scores are kept.
