Summary
Sin Sama Deuk Chho speaks about various aspects of dance in her youth: how masks were stored in her youth and the belief that they came to life at night; how manuscripts were kept and used in the past; dance during the Taing Tok ceremony; costumes; the attitude of respect and reverence for teachers and dance. She talks about her memories of the Queen; why her mother didn't want her to learn to read and write; her time as a servant in the Royal Palace. She recalls her experience under the Khmer Rouge, how she survived by claims that she did "Bassac" (folk) dance; being evacuated from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap with other artists; what she found when she returned to Phnom Penh.
