- Summary
- Soum Sinoeum, a goldsmith and maker of dance headdresses, speaks about his family background and how he began making headdresses and props for the Royal Ballet. He describes collecting and repairing discarded props after the Khmer Rouge regime; artisan methods of the past; the qualities of Apsara headdresses; and why art must follow rules. He speaks about how in the past headdresses were made for individual dancers and not shared, a practice that no longer continues.
