- Description
- 1 audio disc (34:02) : digital, mono; 4 3/4 in.
- Summary
- In this recording, an anti-Vietnam protest march is recorded for radio by Ken Dewey (Finland), focusing on performances and an interview with the famed poet Allen Ginsberg. Ginsberg talks about his work, the world at large, narcotics, politics, and sings some Buddhist chants with finger cymbals. During the interview a tear-gas bomb was ignited by a passerby, and Ginsberg describes the scene happening outside. At the end of the recording, Ginsberg recites a poem "Who to be kind to" [excerpt] for the crowd (at another anti-Vietnam protest march later in San Francisco).
