- Mercedes Ruehl discusses her career as an actor on stage and in film with author Andrea Chapin. She describes her early years as a performer, her struggle with nerves, her work with various playwrights, in particular Edward Albee, and also talks about her experiences in several stage productions, including Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers and Albee's The goat, or, Who is Sylvia? Prior to the interview, Chapin pays tribute to the New York Public Library's Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.
