Letter from the Secretary of the Treasury, transmitting, in obedience to a resolution of the Senate of the 22d ult., a copy of a patent which issued under an act of Congress, passed on the 1st day of June, 1796, "conveying to the Society of United Brethren for Propagating the Gospel Among the Heathen, three-tracts of land of four thousand acres each, to include the towns of Gnadenhutten, Schoebrun and Salem, on the Muskingum, in the state of Ohio, in trust for the sole use of the Christian Indians formerly settled there".
