- Leaflet descriptive of John Trumbull's painting representing Washington resigning his commission to Congress on Dec. 23, 1783; contains an extract from the Journals of Congress, relating to the proceedings on that occasion. Trumbull's paintings for the rotunda of the Capitol in Washington were completed in 1824 and exhibited in various cities.
