The first segment is a class of young children being instructed in dance by Darryl Braddix. The second segment is an interview with Darryl Braddix, an East Saint Louis, Illinois, firefighter who studied with Katherine Dunham. He discusses his association with Dunham, her influence on teaching dance to young people and her influence in East Saint Louis, a predominantly African American community. Th third segment is an interview with Jeanelle Stovall, Katherine Dunham's personal manager. She discusses her association with Katherine Dunham and the establishment and activities of Katherine Dunham's dance school in East Saint Louis.
