- "Published on the occasion of the exhibition AR - Artistic Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), November 17, 2010 - May 12, 2011. The exhibition and publication are part of a yearlong collaboration between the MIT Program in Art, Culture and Technology (ACT), Cambridge, MA and the Munich-based Siemens Stiftung"--Colophon.
- One of the artists featured, György Kepes, was appointed in 1946 as the first Professor of Visual Design in MIT's School of Architecture; in 1967 Kepes founded the Center for Advanced Visual Studies (CAVS) at MIT. He retired in 1974.
