- Summary
- Donald Ogden Stewart, an author and a screenwriter, his 2nd wife Ella Winter, Joseph Bryan III, a writer, and Wilk, exchange funny stories about Hugh Troy, a painter noted for his pranks, and Robert Charles Benchley, a humorist. Both men were very fond of practical jokes, and they are the center of this conversation, as well as the episodes from their life and from the past of the participants of the interview who personally knew both men. Wilk assures them that the recording is being made for Benchley's son and not for the book because some of the remarks and memories are of a personal nature.
