- Telecast of the 23rd Kennedy Center Honors ceremony, honoring Mikhail Baryshnikov, Chuck Berry, Plaácido Domingo, Clint Eastwood and Angela Lansbury. In addition to live speeches and performances, each tribute is accompanied by a brief biographical film, narrated by the tribute presenter, featuring documentary footage, photographs and film clips. A film clip of the White House reception, including a speech by President George Bush, follows Walter Cronkite's introductory speech. Production credits appear at the end of the tape.
