[Music followed by introductory remarks by unidentified male.] Marian Horosko, as host, speaks with Emily Coleman and Anatole Chujoy about the annual Dance Magazine award including the purpose of the award; the process of selecting the recipients; the award ceremony; Ben Sommers; past recipients including Barbara Karinska; Zachary Solov; Lincoln Kirstein; and Louis Horst; Donald McKayle, the current year's recipient; the greatly improved state of dance in the United States today; Chujoy tells an anecdote about George Balanchine and Leonid Lavrovsky [Leonid Mikhaĭlovich Lavrovskiĭ].
