- Reels 1 and 3: Interview with Ronald K. Brown where he discusses his childhood, early experiences and exposure to dance, people influential and instrumental in his professional development, how West African social dance inspires his style of choreography, over-arching themes in his works, his development and rehearsal process for his works, and the role of the arts in society as a whole. He goes into detail about the development of his work Water, as well as major themes and the collaboration with Cheryl Boyce Taylor. He also discusses his work Upside Down, the social value of dance, and the origin of the name of his company, Evidence Dance Company. Reels 2 and 4: Continuation of the explanation of the name of his company. Brown then discusses his musical inspirations, the differing dynamics of working with a company other than his own, the current iteration of the company (at the time of recording) and how the members work together, the history of Evidence Dance Company, the structure of the company (Board of Directors, etc.), the New York dance scene and Evidence's position in it, his hopes for the future, dance venues in Brooklyn, other places he'd like Evidence to perform, his upcoming (at the time of recording) works Walking Out the Dark and High Life, and working with the Alvin Ailey Company on his piece, Grace.
