Summary
  • Condemns the unscrupulous prescription by a "handful" of physicians of mood enhancing drugs "to princes and presidents, movie stars and socialites [...]," and of the "firendly middle class neigjborhood doctor, doling out tranquilizers, psychic energizers, sedatives, depressants, diet-pills - something for every problem ... including life's ordinary stresses, amd his number is legion."
  • Also condemns the pharmaceutical companies "deluding the average doctor with a veritable avalanche of mood-drugs," accompanied by advertising campaigns promising "gloom to varoom."

  • On white, three-holed paper and on yellow, lined, legal-sized paper, with numerous crossings out of typescript lines, and with white paper strips bearing autograph revisions over typed lines.
