- According to Zalmen Zylbercweig's "Leksikon fun Yidish teater", vol. 2, p. 980, on September 20, 1907, Thomashefsky presented the play [by Yosef Latayner], "Mayn vaybs fraynd, oder poḳed ʻaṿod avot ʻal banim". The play was also partly performed under the name "Shloyme ḥokhem". The play was during the [first] World War brought to Europe and performed often there under the name "Shloyme un Rikl" and in 1926 published in Warsaw, without Latayner's knowledge, with Thomashefsky as the author ["Shloyme un Rikel, komishe operetke in 4 aktn fun Tomashevski, farlag Gitlin, Varshe 1926, 48 z', 16 [cm]". NYPL also has, in **P (Thomashefsky No. 20), a poster for "'Mayn ṿayb'ṣ fraynd :oder poḳed ʻaṿod avot ʻal banim : ḳomedye in 4 aḳṭen', fun Yozef Latayner ; ṣtsenirṭ un oyfgefirṭ fun B. Ṭomasheṿṣḳi ; ḳupleṭen fun Ziegmund Moguleṣḳu ; muziḳ fun Luis Friedzel.
