Summary
The edition comprises images and critical texts around Christian Boltanski's (b. France 1944) simultaneous site specific intervention and installation projects in the city of Buenos Aires during several months in 2012. The son of Christian mother and Jewish father, the Holocaust has been part of his art, combining issues related to identity and the tension between life and death from an autobiographical perspective. "Boltanski Buenos Aires comprises the experience carried out by this powerful French contemporary artist, who intervened with his work, for several months, various points of the city and its surroundings. With the curatorship by Diana Wechsler and the integral production of MUNTREF (Buenos Aires), Boltanski developed a group of site-specific art works" (Our translation) --Verso Cover.
