- Summary
- Benedict monk Gilberto Cuartas, an architect and painter, dedicated fifty years of his life to the production of religious art. Since 1962 he has worked in five major projects that conserve and renew the tradition of the ancient monastic aesthetics. This book contains photographs of the work he has done, and reproductions of his sketches, paintings, drawings and designs. The essay of the historian and art critic Santiago Londoño, makes an anecdotal and lucid journey through the work of Cuartas, a quiet artist who deserves a higher recognition.
