- Summary
- In a speech before the students and faculty of San Antonio College's Women's Center, actor Holland Taylor discusses Texas Governor Ann Richards, the subject of her one-person show entitled Ann. She talks about Richards' childhood, her family, her entrance into politics, the challenges she faced as a woman in government, her policies, opinions, and wit, and related topics. She also discusses the difficulties she herself faced, adapting the story of Richards' life to the stage. After her talk, Taylor fields questions from the audience about Richards' career, her own career and political beliefs, and about some of her projects and colleagues.
- Prior to Taylor's talk, there is a brief presentation on San Antonio College's Women's Center, and its scholarship program.
