- Edric Connor (1913-1968) was a Trinidadium singer, folklorist and actor who moved to London, England in 1944. Also born in Trinidad, Pearl Connor (1924-2005) was an actress and theatrical and literary agent. In the 1950s, she was the first agent in the United Kingdom to represent blacks and other minority ethnic actors, writers, and film-makers.
