Summary
Helen L. Brown was the administrative director of the Greater New York Chapter of the American National Theatre and Academy (ANTA) from 1952 to 1966. In 1966, she was named Director of Special Events for the Actors Studio. Her administrative files contain materials from both organizations. ANTA materials date from 1952 to 1966 and consist of meeting minutes, publications, clippings, notices about events, event programs, annual financial statements, correspondence, and other records. Much of the material concerns ANTA's Preview and Special Performance Program. The Actors Studio materials include drafts of informational literature about the organization, event programs, correspondence, and clippings dating from 1962 to 1967. There is also a small amount of material related to Brown's publicity work for other theater organizations.
