Summary

Artist, photographer, and sculptor Daniel Alcalá's (b. Mexico, 1974) artwork is inspired in the urban and historic context of the Museo del Chopo, particularly the Hotel Museo Garage and the many hotels/motels with old neon signs advertising the social and urban transformations of the area over the years. The exhibition includes notebooks, photographs, art worked with graphite, cut paper pieces and even a scale midel 1:1 of the Hotel Museum Garage neon sign, a neighbor of the early 20th century museum, a stopover hotel in an area of "no-tell motels".
